Chinese nouns are used directly to refer without referential articles (Shen, 2012). They have no instruction to identify, which may be highly identifiable or may have no need to identify. For example,

                 我有空,就去圖書館。

                 wǒ yǒukōng, jiù qù túshūguǎn

                 1ps have-time then go-to library

‘(When) I have time, then go to library.’

In the example, ‘圖書館’ may be the identifiable library which the speaker and the hearer both know. And it can also refer to any library which the hearer has no need to know which one.
