"经(jīng)历(lì)" can be both verb and noun. The noun "经(jīng)历(lì)"(Experience) is the collection of  the activities such as the people you have met, the competitions you have joint, the places you have traveled. For example:

1) 出(chū)国(guó)旅(lǚ)游(yóu)是(shì)有(yǒu)趣(qù)的(de)经(jīng)历(lì)

    Go abroad       traveling      is       interesting              experience.

    Traveling abroad is an interesting experience.

经(jīng)验(yàn) can be both noun and adjective, it is an ability resulted from a large amount of practice.  For example,

2) 她(tā)是(shì)一(yī)名(míng)拥(yōng)有(yǒu)三(sān)十(shí)年(nián)教(jiào)学(xué)经(jīng)验(yàn)的(de)老(lǎo)师(shī)

    She    is           a                  possesses            thirty         years    teaching        experiences              teacher.

    She is a teacher possesses thirty years teaching experiences
