When expressing spatial position relationships, we often use ourselves as a reference point. Therefore, when people or items move towards us, we use 来(lái), otherwise we use 去(qù). For example,
1) 请来我办公室
Qǐng lái wǒ bàngōngshì
Please come my office
‘Please come to my office.’
2) 我要去老师的办公室
Wǒ yào qù lǎoshīde bàngōngshì
I will go to teacher’s office
‘I will go to teacher’s office.’
