When more dynamic verbs are involved, a structure which is an extension of 有 yǒu sentences has to be employed. For example,

树上有两只鸟儿在歌唱。

Shù shàng yǒu liǎng zhī niǎo ér zài gē chàng 。

There are two birds singing in the trees.

花丛中有很多蜜蜂在采蜜。

Huā cóng zhōng yǒu hěn duō mì fēng zài cǎi mì 。

There are a lot of bees collecting honey amongst the flowers.

图书馆里有不少学生在查资料。

Tú shū guǎn lǐ yǒu bú shǎo xué shēng zài chá zī liào 。

There are quite a few students looking up references in the library.
