Yǔ qí chū qù kàn diàn yǐng,dǎo bú rú zài jiā kàn diàn shì。

I would rather stay at home and watch television than go out and see a film.

(lit. Rather than going out to see a film, it is not as good as watching

我宁可自己做,也不要别人帮。

Wǒ níng kě zì jǐ zuò,yě bú yào bié rén bāng。

I would rather do it myself than ask other people for help.
