Yǔ bú dàn bú /méi tíng ,fǎn ér gèng dà le 。

Instead of letting up, the rain came down even harder.

(lit. Not only has the rain not stopped, but (on the contrary) it is even heavier.)

天气不但没有越来越暖,反而越来越冷。

Tiān qì bú dàn méi yǒu yuè lái yuè nuǎn ,fǎn ér yuè lái yuè lěng 。

Instead of getting warmer and warmer, the weather got colder.
