There are three subtypes of scope adverbs. For universal coverage, 都 dou1 ‘all’, 全 quan2 ‘all’, and 一共 yi1gong4 ‘altogether’ are frequently used. For minimum coverage, 只 zhi3 ‘only’ and 光 guang1 ‘only, just’ are frequently used. For approximation coverage, 大概 da4gai4 ‘about, approximately’ and 大约 da4yue1 ‘about, approximately’ are frequently used.
